The Arkansas Razorbacks are going to the College World Series Finals for the first time since 1979. No. 5 Arkansas took down No. 1 Florida 5-2 on Friday night in the CWS Semifinals, and got a remarkable defensive play by right fielder Eric Cole to start the bottom of the ninth.

Florida’s J.J. Schwarz hit a flyball down the right field line and it appeared to be a definite foul ball, but Cole had other ideas. The right fielder incredibly jumped over the wall to turn a foul ball into a crucial out.

Check out this absurd play:

And here’s the strikeout to end the game:

The Razorbacks will play a best-of-three championship series against the winner of Saturday night’s Oregon-Mississippi State game.

1 thought on “Eric Cole makes ridiculous catch to help Arkansas advance to CWS Finals

  1. Matt you mean that Arkansas will play the winner of tomorrow night’s game between Oregon State and Mississippi State and not Oregon and Mississippi State right?
