The Atlanta Braves left perfectly good Turner Field for new SunTrust Park this season, so Georgia State University seized the opportunity to turn Turner Field into a football stadium.

The Panthers’ former home, the Georgia Dome, was abandoned by the Atlanta Falcons, so they needed a place to play. And as unorthodox as it may sound, the formerly named Turner Field, now named Georgia State Stadium, looked like it would be pretty cool.

And it’s actually coming along! Georgia State posted the progress on Instagram.

Pretty cool! A reminder: This is what the stadium used to look like.

And then before using it as a baseball stadium, it served as the Track and Field stadium for the 1996 Summer Olympics.

We’re glad you found someone who could appreciate you, Turner Field. You deserve it.
