This college basketball Saturday is not even a half hour old, and Kentucky head coach John Calipari has been removed from it.
Calipari was ejected from Kentucky’s road game against South Carolina Saturday afternoon, just two and a half minutes into the contest. Unhappy with a call under the basket, Calipari let his emotions flow. He let the refs have a little too much of an earful, and he also left the coaching box to get in the face of an official.
The funny thing in all this: The call actually went against South Carolina. Is Calipari merely attempting to send a message and test his Wildcats on the road?

Calipari should have just grabbed a Snickers.

Calipari was also ejected in a game at South Carolina in 2014, although that ejection occurred midway through the second half. Kentucky ended up being upset by the Gamecocks that day. We’ll see how the Wildcats manage this afternoon without their head coach for the final 56 minutes.
Unreal. Calipari gets tossed again at the CLA, this time after a foul against South Carolina.
