The Famous Idaho Potato Bowl featured Wyoming knocking off Central Michigan 37-14 in some light snow on Boise State’s blue field. It also featured Central Michigan turning the ball over eight (!) times, and still somehow only losing by 23 points.

Wyoming quarterback Josh Allen is ranked as first-round talent for the 2018 draft, but he didn’t have a lot to do in Boise, going 11/19 for 154 yards and 3 touchdowns. Still, he was interviewed after the game, and offered up a fun bit of live TV for the ESPN audience:

Allen was caught trying to return the congratulations of his Central Michigan opponents, which is certainly admirable, although ESPN (and Allen himself, given his exaggerated, hand-to-mouth reaction) would have probably preferred he’d kept it clean.

Still, there are certainly worse things he could have said. No one should be mad about this.
