Cool things happen when you are the hero of the NCAA Championship game. Just ask Kris Jenkins.
The Villanova forward will be forever immortalized in basketball history for his national-championship-winning buzzer-beater Monday night. Now he graces the cover of the latest Sports Illustrated, and if was not enough, even President Obama took notice.
Obama took the time to call Villanova head coach Jay Wright and congratulate him on the team’s victory, adding that Jenkins, “Looked pretty cool out there, taking that shot.”

As for Jenkins, he still seems to be processing the life-altering events that unfolded Monday night.

If Jenkins handles everything off the court as calmly as he does on it, then all this newfound attention should not be a problem for the man known as “Big Smoove.”
