The North Carolina Tar Heels are trailing the Stanford Cardinal 13-7 in the third quarter of the Sun Bowl, and they certainly aren’t getting help from the officials.

With under two minutes to go in the first half, North Carolina quarterback Mitch Trubisky took off running on 3rd and 12, and fumbled. But it’s hard to fault Trubisky too much for the fumble, given that he probably wasn’t expecting AN UMPIRE to force it:

Trubisky is currently considered by most evaluators to be the top quarterback prospect for the NFL Draft, and hopefully front offices don’t put much into that turnover. A quick look at these throws will remind them why he’s such a promising prospect at the next level:
