It’s been a pretty good day for Jim Harbaugh and Michigan football. Rashan Gary, the number one player in the country according to most recruiting services, committed to Michigan instead of national runner-up Clemson. The Wolverines have one of the Top 10 recruiting classes in the country, and to help celebrate, Harbaugh invited Tom Brady, Derek Jeter, Jim Leyland, and a host of others to celebrate.

Then Ric Flair joined in on the fun.

Michigan has won just one of its last eight games against “little brother” Michigan State (though was one botched punt away from winning last season), and only one of its last 12 games against Ohio State. They’ve certainly won today in terms of media coverage and the outrageous celebrations concerning 17 and 18 year olds deciding where they want to go college, but let’s see if the buzz carries over onto the football field this coming fall.

Today’s joy over their recruiting success should help Michigan fans forget last night’s basketball game against Indiana, if that’s any consolation.

And by the way, in case you’re wondering – Ric Flair went to Minnesota. Sorry, Gophers fans.
