Here’s an absolutely insane college football finish.

Stephen F. Austin and Incarnate Word were tied 31-31 with 16 seconds left in an FCS battle on Saturday night, and Incarnate Word faced a 3rd-and-6 at their own 26-yard line. For some reason, Incarnate Word decided to get nuts and go with a flea flicker pass, rather than just sit on the ball in crappy field position, punt, and almost surely go to overtime.

Well not only did Incarnate Word throw a flea flicker pass, but they also threw it into triple coverage. Sean Brophy’s pass was picked off by Stephen F. Austin’s Alize Ward, and the Lumberjacks’ safety ran it back 67 yards for a game-winning touchdown with no time left. The return also featured a terrific hurdle from Ward inside the 10-yard line.

Check out video of the bonkers scene:

Definitely one of the craziest (and dumbest) finishes we’ll see in football this season.
