It took John Gillon some time to get it going at Syracuse, but the point guard is finally looking like the guy the Orange thought they were getting — and I thought they were getting — when he transferred from Colorado State.

The senior went off for 43 points and nine assists on NC State earlier this month, and had 26 points and six assists against No. 10 Duke on Wednesday night. And three of Gillon’s points against Duke came on a buzzer-beating three for the win.

Here are videos of the game-winner, and the crazy scene at the Carrier Dome:

Syracuse trailed 33-25 at half, and looked like a completely different offense in the second half, outscoring Duke 53-42.

The win gets Syracuse to 9-7 in ACC play this season, and gets their confidence high heading into what will be a very difficult game at No. 7 Louisville on Sunday.
