In case you somehow didn’t hear, Peyton Manning announced his retirement Monday in a long press conference that included glowing testimonials from anyone who had ever interacted with him.

In honor of the future Hall of Famer calling it quits, the football team at his alma mater, the University of Tennessee, recorded a rousing rendition of the school’s fight song, which coach Butch Jones tweeted Monday evening.

This was a fun tribute, although it’s kind of weird how it’s more about celebrating Tennessee than it is celebrating Peyton Manning, right?

The best part of this clip is the guy in the front row, second from the right, who from the start looks entirely unhappy to be there and embarrassed about the whole thing.

Speaking of embarrassment, you have to wonder whether Peyton wants anyone reminded about his connection to Tennessee, given the recent reemergence of accusations that he sexually assaulted a Volunteers team doctor in 1996.
