A Tennessee State football player has been expelled from the school after punching the team’s strength and conditioning coach on the sideline, according to Mike Organ of the Tennesseean.

Tennessee State defensive end Latrelle Lee punched strength and conditioning coach T.J. Greenstone twice in the head during Saturday’s game against Southeast Missouri. Greenstone, a former Vanderbilt football player, fell to the ground after being punched.

On the sideline, Greenstone’s job is to keep “players who aren’t in the game from getting too close to the sideline to avoid a penalty,” according to the Tennesseean.

Lee — who didn’t play in Saturday’s game — was kicked off the football team and then expelled from the university.
