The Indiana Hoosiers were about to close out a blowout Big 10 victory over Rutgers, when something happened to ruin whatever good feelings Indiana head coach Tom Crean had about his team’s performance.

With Indiana up 76-57, they got the rebound on a Rutgers missed shot with under 10 seconds left. This is when you’re supposed to just dribble the clock out, and instead Indiana’s Devonte Green tried an alley-oop play. And that made Crean very, very angry:

It’s hard not to agree with Crean here. Green is only a freshman and Indiana was blowing out Rutgers to the point that they could’ve started to shake hands the second the Scarlet Knights missed their last shot.

That’s just a sample of how people agreed with the Hoosiers’ Head Coach on Twitter. One argument that could be made is Crean could’ve waited to yell at Green until they were in the locker room, but at the same time, doing it in person in front of everyone else might have driven home the point more by embarrassing him in front of the fans. It also made things clear to the Rutgers team and head coach Steve Pikiell that Indiana will not stand for that lack of sportsmanship.
