On September 10th, Virginia Tech and Tennessee will contest a college football game and one of the most unique venues the sport has ever seen – Bristol Motor Speedway.  This amazing timelapse video shows the transformation.

With the summer Bristol NASCAR race happening on August 20th this year, there wasn’t too much time for workers to flip the famous half mile racetrack into a site suitable for a college football game.  However, incredibly, over the last week all of the pitboxes and everything supporting racing action has been removed and replaced with a gridiron.

Bristol Motor Speedway put together this timelapse video showing the process.

This picture just might help put the Bristol Motor Speedway game in its truly massive perspective.

The two schools and the speedway are expecting a sellout crowd 150,000 for the game, which would smash the official NCAA attendance record by 35,000 people.
