Isaiah Stokes take a bow.
The 6’8″, 273-pound basketball player was participating at the AAU Tournament in Las Vegas when he threw down a dunk, and promptly shattered the background. Stokes seems to hang onto the rim a little too long and takes quite the fall after the rim comes crashing down. Thankfully, Stokes rolls after falling and gets up quickly. It was a powerful dunk.

Stokes is the brother of former Memphis Grizzlies forward Jarnell Stokes. Basketball runs in the family. The younger Stokes is more than just backboard-breaking dunker, as he’s the no. 73 ranked prospect in the 2017 class according to ESPN. He’s also a three-star recruit in football. He’s a big dude, but he’s a talented one.
The dunk will always be memorable, as it’s not everyday you see a backboard break like that – even when 270+ pound athletes slam down on it. Stokes is lucky he didn’t suffer any injuries beyond minor scrapes. At the end of the day, he didn’t get hurt and has video proof to show the dangerous play – if there’s any consolation from the play.
