Northwestern head coach Pat Fitzgerald is going to love when the Wildcats go over film and he sees this safety from defensive end Joe Gaziano safety on repeat, over and over.

Poor Michigan State quarterback Ben Lewerke never had a chance:

Lewerke, a redshirt freshman, is going to learn very quickly that a rusher doesn’t have to be coming from the blind side to lay a wallop on you. He’ll be in pain just watching it on replays in the weeks ahead.

That was just one of many great plays Northwestern had on the day, as they came away with a 54-40 victory over the Spartans.
