Each year when the Army All-American Bowl is played, multiple athletes play the “hat game” and decide where they are going to play college ball.
Sometimes the results are funny and sometimes the results are cute. This is a mix of the two.
Darnay Holmes is a highly touted cornerback and is rated as the #12 player in the class of 2017. Anyone who would pick him up in recruiting would be pretty lucky.
His nephew already had made his mind up on who Holmes should pick as his school. Ohio State was the little guy’s choice and he was deeply disappointed when Holmes ended up picking UCLA.
He picked UCLA over Nebraska, Ohio State and USC. If Holmes is ever upset at UCLA, he may need to consult with his nephew. That’s a guy with conviction who knows what he wants. Who knows, maybe we see an early commitment from the nephew later this year with the way Urban Meyer recruits. Don’t be surprised.
