Ever since Happy Gilmore released in 1996, we’ve known Shooter McGavin to be a bit of an asshole. The man did try to ruin Happy and his grandmother after feeling threatened about losing that gold jacket.

Anyway, one person who never forgot what Shooter did to Happy was Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. After McGavin tweeted at Rodgers about running to stay in shape, Rodgers fired his shot back and started a pretty hilarious Twitter war.

It was all in good fun and both Rodgers and the person behind the McGavin account really stayed in character as well as calling back important parts of the movie. As far as who won the Twitter war, I’m going to declare this a no decision because we as the public seemed to be the big winners.
