NFL preseason games are almost always boring. NFL preseason games that end in scores of 5-0 are *especially* boring, and this particular one will leave HBO’s Hard Knocks with a difficult job to come up with many game highlights.

The Cleveland Browns took down the Philadelphia Eagles 5-0 on Thursday night, in a game nationally televised on Fox. Nothing says preseason quite like a team that went 0-16 last season beating a team that won the Super Bowl last season.

It appeared Tyrod Taylor may have broken his left wrist on this awkward fall in the first quarter.

Taylor left the game, but incredibly returned two series later and looked fine. The veteran quarterback completed 11-of-16 passes on the night for 65 yards.

Rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield relieved Taylor, and the top overall pick from this year’s draft showed off his playmaking ability with this nasty move.

Mayfield completed 8-of-12 passes for 76 yards and one interception.

Mayfield finishes the preseason with 26-of-45 (57.7 %) passes completed for 363 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. He’s flashed his tremendous ability all preseason and will quickly be pushing Taylor for the starting quarterback job.
