One Cleveland Browns’ player may have more on his mind tonight than just their game against the New York Jets. As per NFL Network’s Omar Ruiz, running back Carlos Hyde’s wife had labor induced Wednesday. Hyde spent most of the day with her on Thursday, but then came to the stadium and appears set to play.
According to a couple of team sources, #Browns RB Carlos Hyde is expecting the birth of his child any minute now. He’s expected to come straight to the stadium from hospital in time to play. I’m told labor was induced last night, so a potentially long & joyful day for the Hydes.

Baby watch continues, Carlos Hyde has arrived. He’s stretching, but I’m told the baby has yet to arrive pic.twitter.com/qqzwSfKhrv

ESPN 850’s Tony Grossi later tweeted that the Browns said Hyde will be playing:
Browns gave an update on Carlos Hyde baby birth. Still not over the goal line. But he's here and will play.

Unsurprisingly, because this is the NFL, this has led to a lot of people wondering if they should start him in fantasy:

My friend Omar once did this and had the game of his life back in HS so fantasy owners start Carlos Hyde https://t.co/inmGTaJUZC

Carlos Hyde having a baby on his birthday then he’s gotta go play a professional football game. That’s a busy ass schedule https://t.co/Rsp4l7oMgb

Carlos Hyde cutting close, I understand it’s your child’s birth but I got a fantasy team that needs production fam

All the horrible choices you’ve made over the years have led you down the path of frantically refreshing Twitter to see if Carlos Hyde will have his baby so you know what to do on a one game fantasy football slate where you will almost certainly lose regardless.

So much wrong with that “Porvi” tweet.
