Today has not been one of the better days for NFL PR. Not only has famed coach Dennis Green passed away, but fourth overall pick Ezekiel Elliot has been accused of domestic violence, J.J Watt is recovering from major offseason surgery and might miss the start of the season, LeVeon Bell is likely going to be suspended for the first four games of the season for violating the NFL’s drug policy.
And now there’s another suspension on top of that for Indianapolis Colts defensive lineman Arthur Jones.
Jones has been suspended for four games for violating the league’s policy on performance-enhancing drugs. His brother Jon Jones — yes, that Jon Jones — was recently caught doping before UFC 200.
Jones missed all of the 2015 season after suffering a season-ending ankle injury during the Colts’ preseason one year ago. He signed a five-year, $30 million contract with the Colts during the 2014 offseason, and only played in nine games that season.
The Colts’ first four games are at home against Detroit, at Denver, home against San Diego, and against Jacksonville in London.
