Dustin Hopkins has enjoyed a relatively successful season as Washington’s kicker. He was 15/16 on field goal attempts heading into today’s game against the Lions. However, his day got off to a rough start with this field goal attempt in the second quarter:

Yes, that ball bounced off of the top of the upright.

It is an incredibly rare occurrence, but football fans paying attention know that this is the second time this has happened this season, albeit the first instance happened in the college ranks.

This may or may not come as consolation to Washington fans who lost by, you guessed it, a field goal.
