Emmanuel Sanders’ wife, Gabrielle, filed for divorce from the Denver Broncos’ star wide receiver in October. Now, TMZ has unearthed court documents that don’t paint him in a good light, as either a person or a player.

According to TMZ, Gabrielle claimed that Emmanuel spent “thousands upon thousands of dollars” on extramarital affairs, including even buying a car for one of his girlfriends.

The documents also allege that Sanders lied to the Broncos about why he missed a practice in November. He reportedly said that he had to miss practice to witness the birth of his child, but the documents allege that he was actually “out partying,” and used his child’s birth as an excuse to do so.

The Broncos declined to comment on the story, according to Denver Post Broncos beat writer Nicki Jhabvala.

It is unclear whether Sanders will face any disciplinary action from the Broncos. However, getting his personal life in order once all the facts come out is the most important priority. It’s one thing to lie to your team, but it’s another to miss the birth of your child to go out partying instead. If that’s what really happened, it’s pretty low and hopefully Gabrielle gets the support she needs, as well.
