Ahman Green was arrested last night in Wisconsin according to the Green Bay Press-Gazette. While Brown County police didn’t reveal what it was Green was arrested for, other than saying it was for a “family matter,” arrest records show that Green was arrested for alleged child abuse with the intention to cause harm as well as cruelty toward a child.

Also according to the record, Green isn’t going to be released on bond until he goes in front of a judge. It’s reported that potential charges could be levied later today. This comes off the heels of Adrian Peterson facing charges for child abuse a few years ago after it was revealed that he allegedly used a switch on his four-year-old son to discipline him. Peterson plea bargained to a misdemeanor reckless assault that resulted in a $4,000 fine and community service.

Green last played for the Packers in 2005 and remained in the Wisconsin area. In 2005, while playing for the Packers, Green was arrested for a domestic violence incident.
