Parking is one of the most annoying, stressful and sometimes disheartening aspects of modern society. Nobody likes to park far away from where they have to go, especially at work. Some would do anything in order to earn better parking spots. Jay Gruden, head coach of Washington’s NFL team, has decided to use parking spots as an incentive for players to work harder in practice.

Gruden began this plan last season, and according to the team’s website, eight players earned primo parking spots for hard work in practice, including Mason Foster, Bashaud Breeland, Ryan Kerrigan, and Pierre Garcon among the names.

Niles Paul also earned one of those spots, and has a message for those trying to take his spot, which you can sort of see in the tweet above. If you can’t see it, it says, “NILES PAUL IS HERE EVERY DAY. PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN SPACE.”

Most of us would probably work harder if it meant earning a better parking spot; it stands to reason. Whatever works is never a bad mantra to have, especially if makes everyone more motivated. This might seem trivial, but it’s a very clever idea that works really well.
