Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay has had a rather interesting couple weeks on social media. Almost two weeks ago, Irsay (or at least his account) replied a blank tweet to what seems like a porn bot.

Like most times when a famous person accidentally reveals something they didn’t mean for anyone else to know, they say they were hacked and Irsay did just that. You know what? I wasn’t there with Irsay, who am I to say that he wasn’t actually hacked? Yes, similar to “The Boy Who Cried Wolf,” everyone seems to call BS when anyone claims they were hacked because it’s the easiest excuse and it’s obvious not everyone was hacked. It’s almost to the point where if you actually were hacked, you were better off giving another excuse. Maybe something like you were scrolling along your feed and accidentally hit “like” on a certain inappropriate post. That’s a very underrated excuse and accidentally liking something is a thing we all have done, just not necessarily on posts that have to do with porn.

Anyway, a little over two weeks later and Irsay one upped replying to a porn bot and just went out and tweeted a very NSFW pic of a naked woman from the neck, down. But according to Deadspin (who has an NSFW screenshot if you’re so inclined to see the tweet in question), it is actually plausible that this could have been the result of a hack. Deadspin explained that the post was up at least 10 minutes and in addition to tagging his own account, tagged other organizations like the Pacers and Indianapolis NBC affiliate WHTR in other tweets for no apparent reason. So something was going on with Irsay’s account that may not have been his own doing. It also might not either.

So maybe, and for the sake of argument, let’s say Irsay was telling the truth and he was hacked a couple weeks ago and let’s say he was hacked last night. That would mean that if that was the case, he has to have had one of the simplest passwords in order to be hacked twice in a couple weeks. And if I was a Colts fan, I would be a bit worried that the billionaire owner of my favorite NFL team isn’t aware and/or didn’t learn his lesson from a couple weeks ago to use two factor authentication and a tougher password for his social media account. If Irsay is that supposedly irresponsible on his social media account, what does that say about how he runs the Colts?

Having said that, I think if I was a Colts fan, I would maybe prefer he just admit he sent the pic himself instead of getting hacked once again. That and maybe hold off on anything porn related on Twitter. Either that or use an anonymous account for your porn stuff. But considering Jim Irsay doesn’t seem to have the best handle of social media, chances are he’d mix up his accounts at some point and the entire thing would be deja vu.
