Well this isn’t a fun storyline for anyone. Not for Joey Porter, who was arrested. And not for the Steelers, who now have this to deal with as they prepare to face the Chiefs next week. (The dreaded NFL distraction.)
A longtime Steeler player and a current assistant coach, Porter was reportedly involved in an incident at a bar in Pittsburgh on Sunday.

Via CBS Pittsburgh:
Officials confirm around 9:30 p.m. security guards on the South Side summoned Pittsburgh Police due to an “unruly customer,” later identified as Porter.
…
Eyewitnesses say the altercation ensued when Porter attempted to enter the bar.
And here’s a report from NFL.com detailing his charges:
A Pittsburgh police offer was summoned to a bar at approximately 9:30 p.m. ET due to “an unruly customer who was in the process of assaulting the doorman”, who was later identified as Porter, according to a statement from the City of Pittsburgh Public Safety Department.
Porter was then arrested and charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, resisting arrest, public drunkenness and terroristic threats. Porter is currently in the Allegheny County Jail.
Well that doesn’t sound good.
