Week eight of the NFL season was a crazy one as it included a tie for the second week in a row and a dildo ending up on the field. To cap it all off, Jay Cutler and the Chicago Bears beat the Minnesota Vikings, and that caused Cutler’s wife Kristin Cavallari to ask if that would make his critics shut up.

Eight weeks into the NFL season, the Vikings stand tall at 5-2 while the Bears are looking up at them at 2-6. Surprisingly enough though, Chicago is 1-0 against Minnesota in 2016.

One big reason why the Bears are 1-0 against the Vikings despite trailing them in the NFC North is because of Jay Cutler.

The 33-year-old NFL veteran only threw for one touchdown, but did rack up 252 passing yards. Cutler also went 20-for-31 on pass attempts, good for a 65% completion rate. The QB’s two longest completions of the day were for 34 yards. That’s better than opposing QB Sam Bradford, who completed just 23 of 37 passes for 228 yards and a touchdown.

Shortly after the win, Cavallari (who you may also know from Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County, The Hills, and more) took to Twitter to express her thoughts on her husband’s play.

Sadly Kristin, everybody won’t shut up. Cutler still isn’t playing all that well, and he didn’t surpass Bradford by that much. This wasn’t just about him, either. At the end of the day, another major reason why the Bears won was because of Jordan Howard. The fifth round pick out of Indiana ran for 153 yards and a score on 26 carried for the Bears. Meanwhile Matt Asiata totaled 42 yards on 14 carriers with no touchdowns for the Vikings.

But going back to Cutler, Kristin may have gotten her wish for now. After the game, many NFL writers and analysts praised the veteran QB despite he and the Bears being 2-6 overall.

There were still also some moments that didn’t work out so well for Cutler.

Still, Cutler and his team got the win, and that should at least tone down some of the criticism for a bit.
