While the defense needs practice too, the Jacksonville Jaguars’ front office probably didn’t enjoy watching one defensive highlight at training camp this weekend.

That’s because rookie running back Leonard Fournette — Jacksonville’s 1st-round pick (4th overall) — took a ridiculous hit in the backfield from Jaguars defensive tackle Sheldon Day.

Blasted.

The Jaguars definitely don’t want to see Fournette taking those kind of hits in practice, and his offensive line didn’t exactly help him out on that play. Of course, it could be used as a nice “Welcome to the NFL” moment for a guy that was used to be the one delivering the hits with the ball in his hands at LSU:

We’ll get our first look at Fournette in (preseason) game action when the Jaguars take on the New England Patriots on Saturday night.
