The Pittsburgh Steelers received an early wake-up call at their hotel as a man pulled the fire alarm at 3am.

Move over Deflategate. Alarmgate is officially here. Ahead of their playoff game against the New England Patriots, the Pittsburgh Steelers were woken up early Sunday morning after a man pulled the fire alarm at the team’s hotel.

Massachusetts State Police have arrested Dennis Harrison of East Boston and charged him with disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace and pulling a false alarm at the team’s airport hotel located in Boston. Harrison reportedly wasn’t a guest at the hotel and did not have a “legitimate reason” to be at the hotel according to police comments seen on ESPN.com. He fled after pulling the alarm, but was found by the police walking around the hotel’s property.

The hotel was evacuated while firefighters responded to the alarm, but the Steelers weren’t required to leave the hotel.

The ol’ “pull the fire alarm” tactic has been a favorite of sports fans for years, but it’s rare to hear about it in the NFL. The early alarm shouldn’t have any kind of impact on the game itself between the Steelers and Patriots, but it’s bound to be a talking point heading into kickoff.
