Oakland Raiders punter Marquette King is a very entertaining follow on social media. Whether on or off the field, King seems like someone who still takes his job seriously but wants to have as much fun as possible.

Over the weekend, King combined two activities into one interesting skill that may be something for an NFL skills competition. King punted a football and then took a skeet shooting gun to try and shoot the football while in the air.

It looked like King missed on his three shots so it didn’t necessarily look like it was a successful attempt but that’s still pretty impressive to punt the ball, grab the gun and be able to aim and shoot three times in time before the ball hit the ground. He only has a few seconds hang time to be able to do all that so it’s probably tougher to hit a football in the air than a clay disc. And Olympic skeet shooters don’t need to launch the discs before shooting so I’m willing to cut King some slack for missing the football.

Either way, maybe King is onto something. I’m not sure if anyone in the NFL would be able to shoot a punted football but I’d like to see them try.
