What’s your least valuable possession worth getting arrested over? Last weekend, Cardinals wide receiver Marquis Bundy was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and refusal to obey a police officer after a nightclub lost his hat.

The arrest video, published Thursday by TMZ, showed an allegedly drunk Bundy’s confrontation with police.

Here’s how Bundy initially explained the situation to the cops:

“To get into the club, I had to pay $20 and give up my hat to give to them. I come to the front of the club to get my hat back, they say my hat is gone. Really? They need to give me my hat back. … All I want them to do is check for my hat. They acted like they did not know where my hat was. It disappeared out of thin air. That is not okay. I’m not okay. Hell, no, I’m not okay.”

Police tried to calm Bundy down, but after Bundy started raising his voice one cop warned him to leave or he’d go to jail. With his friends literally trying to drag him away, Bundy refused, and then the cops arrested him.

In the back of the cop car, Bundy said:

“I’m willing to go to jail because of something that was stolen from me.”

At least he knows what he got himself into.
