Philip Rivers’ children’s Halloween costumes were mostly standard fair. One went as Batman, another decided to go as Peppa Pig, and another an 80’s disco dancer. Rivers eldest child decided to emulate his pops and dressed up as…Philip Rivers.

Rivers spoke about Halloween this week during a conference call, and described his eight kids Halloween costumes (it’s a lot to remember). The San Diego Chargers quarterback said his eight-year-old son dressed as him, wearing the same glove, towel, and eye black.

Its sort of odd Rivers’ kid would dress up as the Chargers quarterback when he could have easily been Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, or Ben Roethlisberger, but the little guy must love his dad more than winning QBs.

In all seriousness, Rivers’ son must see his dad as a hero, because dressing up as him for Halloween is quite the honor – unless he saw his dad’s playoff record and thought it was the scariest thing he’s seen in some time. I keed, I keed.
