Aldon Smith has checked into rehab, according to a report from TMZ Sports.

A few days ago, a video emerged of a man with marijuana, and though you could never see Smith directly, it’s alleged to be him. At one point in the video, a voice does say:

They don’t know it’s me. It’s not like I put “Aldon Smith”.

Smith has been to rehab once before. That was three years ago, after multiple DUI arrests. He has also had issues with staying out of trouble beyond that as well, including being arrested in April of 2014 at LAX when he was being uncooperative and belligerent with a TSA agent.

He was suspended for nine games that season as a result of the incident. Last year, he was arrested for an alleged hit and run after driving under the influence, and was released by the 49ers the day after the arrest.

Smith is now a Raider, but if this is any indication, he may have trouble sticking with them. Of course, firing up some weed is probably the least of any of these offenses, but when you have the history Aldon Smith does, you don’t tend to get the benefit of the doubt.
