For the second consecutive season, Pittsburgh Steelers star running back Le’Veon Bell has seen a preseason suspension cut down. NFL.com reports that Bell’s suspension for violating the league’s substance abuse policy has been shaved from four to three games.

Bell will still miss games at Washington and Philadelphia, and home against Cincinnati, but will now be eligible to play in a home game against Kansas City. Recently, Bell’s social media posts have shown he believed he wouldn’t miss any time at all, but seeing his suspension reduced at all is a win for both him and the Steelers.

The 24-year-old will also stay in the same stage of the league’s substance abuse program, meaning if he were to be suspended again, his next suspension would also be four games, not 10. The Steelers went 7-3 without Bell last year thanks to injury and previous suspension, and the Steelers will be without him and Martavis Bryant — who was suspended for the entire season — for the first three games of the 2016 campaign.
