marshawn lynch

Suspended by the NFL for shoving a ref in the Raiders’ win over the Chiefs last Thursday, Marshawn Lynch had some extra free time this week. So he stopped by his alma mater, Oakland Technical High School to practice with some younger opponents than he is used to facing.

Let’s just say the teenagers had a hard time bringing down Lynch. The running back posted to Instagram clips of three plays. On the first, he darts through the defense before finally getting slowed by a defender who does not appear close to completing the tackle when the whistle blows. On the second he actually is taken to the ground, but only after dragging a group of about five kids halfway across the field. And on the third, no one even comes close.

It’s difficult to comprehend exactly how athletic top-tier players are until you see them taking on normal humans. The way Lynch slides through the open field makes him look like a different species from the helpless kids chasing him.

The video of Lynch at his high school wasn’t the only incredible footage out of the Beast Mode camp this week. In the third episode of his No Script, Lynch pulled off an incredible gag at a sandwich shop. This clip tells you all you need to know.

Here’s the full episode. It is wonderful.

Marshawn should probably get himself suspended more often.
