The Seahawks new alternate logo has brought them beak-to-beak with a barrage of jokes and insults on social media.
The team unveiled the new, front-facing logo on Tuesday evening through a Facebook post, and the quips rolled in quickly comparing the mascot depiction to the likes of Simpsons characters, Muppets and more.

No matter how hot the roasting gets for the Seahawks, they’ll never have to worry about facing as much humiliation as the Chargers. When the Chargers updated their logo in January for their move to Los Angeles, even the official Twitter accounts of NHL and minor-league baseball teams bashed the new look. At least one shop started selling parody t-shirts, and within a few days the franchise had changed the logo several times.
So in the grand scheme of things, the Seahawks are fortunate to get off with just a few jokes.
