He has a handful of Super Bowl rings and is heading to the Pro Football Hall of Fame nearly five years after he retires. But Tom Brady’s next career achievement on the bucket list just might be “New York Times best seller.” Brady will look to check that off the list this fall with the release of his new book, The TB12 Method: How to Achieve a Lifetime of Sustained Peak Performance.

Publisher Simon & Schuster announced today the new book authored by Brady is scheduled to be hitting bookshelves this September. It will be the first book written by Brady and is being described by the publisher as being an “athlete’s bible” that reviews Brady’s way of life to be the star and winner he is.

Oversized, heavily illustrated, revealing yet deeply practical, The TB12 Method is an “athlete’s bible” that reveals Brady’s methods and approaches to sustained peak performance for people of all ages. In it, Brady tells the backstory that led to the revolutionary approach to his training and exercise regimen, one that decreases the risk of injury while extending peak performance. Brady offers the principles behind pliability, which is at the heart of a new paradigm shift and movement toward a more natural, healthier way of exercising, training, and living—and one that challenges some commonly held assumptions around health and wellness. Filled with lessons learned from Brady’s own peak performance training, and step-by-step action steps to help readers develop and maintain their own peak performance, The TB12 Method also advocates for more effective approaches to strength training, hydration, nutrition, supplementation, cognitive fitness, recovery, and other lifestyle choices that dramatically decrease the risk of injury while amplifying and extending performance, as well as quality of life.

“We expect this book to become an essential source for the way athletes of all ages live and train, whether they are in high school or in retirement,” said Simon & Schuster president Jonathan Karp. “The fact that Tom Brady is the greatest quarterback of all time gives him the authority to write this book—but the fact that the principles that he’s espousing go well beyond sports is one of the reasons readers are going to pay close attention to his message.”

As if we needed a reminder of how nauseating press release statements can be, right?

Anyway, Brady will have a chance to add to his profile with his first book release, and it will surely be a smash hit in the New England area as Patriots fans gobble up hardcover and softcover copies, and maybe grab the audiobook version so they can listen to it on the go. If it is read by Brady, that would be the ultimate audiobook for Patriots fans.

Personally, I’d love it if Roger Goodell did the voiceover for the audio book.
