The wife of former NFL player Brian Price believes her husband has CTE, which would explain why he walked through a glass window at an auto parts shop in Michigan earlier this year.

Price, only 28 years old, was caught on video in April creating a scene in the store in Ypsilanti, turning over displays and clearly being agitated about something. The shocking part of the incident came when Price got off the ground and went charging through a window.

Price’s four-year career in the NFL came to an early end in 2012 due to injury issues, but the suspicion he has CTE comes from his wife, track star Candice Price. That suspicion came after this bizarre incident, which the otherwise mild-mannered Brian Price has apologized profusely for after being treated in the hospital for cuts from the window crashing incident.

“When I got [to the hospital] and the officers were describing the incident to me, I was just shocked,” Candice Price said to Local 4 News in Michigan. I couldn’t believe the things they were describing.”

According to a study released this week, linemen continue to be among the most likely victims of CTE, so the idea that Price suffers from it is not a reach. Of the 110 brains of deceased former NFL players studied by the Journal of American Medical Association and diagnosed with signs of CTE, 44 belonged to former linemen.
