In an effort to stay in touch with the younger football fans, the Minnesota Vikings have announced they will be consulting with Jonah Stillman, the team’s newly appointed Gen Z Advisor. Yep, the Vikings are now officially going to get the input of a 17-year old to determine how they should coordinate certain activities to stay in touch with the younger crowd so often blamed for killing off everything we love, from restaurants and motorcycles.

So, who exactly is Jonah? A quick Google search brought up the Gen Z Guru website, which tells us that he and his dad serve as motivational speakers to bridge the gap between Generation X and Generation Z. Jonah has appeared on multiple media outlets to touch base with how different generations view various topics of conversation.

This is actually not a bad strategy for the Vikings to act on, as staying plugged in with the future fanbase is vital to sustaining a solid stream of revenue for years to come.

Of course, one might read this news and immediately think of the “how do you do fellow kids” meme…

It will be interesting to see how the Vikings respond to any input from Stillman, and how much that input connects with Vikings fans on the younger side of the demographic scale moving forward.
