New England Patriots rookie wide receiver Malcolm Mitchell and Buffalo Bills safety Robert Blanton started things early, getting into a pregame shoving match prior to their game on Sunday. Based on the reports from the incident, it sounds like the argument stemmed from the players trying to jog in the same rough location.
The video below is a video of a video and isn’t entirely clear, but you can see things got pretty heated.

The incident was brief, but it led to some fiery comments from Patriots president Jonathan Kraft.
Via ESPN.com:
“I think if you are less-than-disciplined in your personal approach, your team takes on the attitude of the coach… My guess is Rex [Ryan] probably loves that. … Why Rex is Rex and Bill [Belichick] is Bill.”
That might be reading into things a bit too deeply. A few shoves before the game doesn’t necessarily reflect some sort of ingrained ideology of the head coaches.
