Former New England Patriots running back Kevin Faulk has been the Tom Brady whisperer in the last few weeks in regards to what the quarterback will do with his time off during his four-game suspension. On Monday morning, he said he expected some of Brady’s most prolific former receivers, Randy Moss and Wes Welker, to come out and help him stay in game shape during his time away from the team. Based on recent career developments for both, that seemed a little far-fetched, and it seemed Faulk might not be connected as he claimed.
However, it turns out Faulk and Brady are still pretty tight. The running back was set to get inducted into the Patriots Hall of Fame last night, when his former quarterback made a surprise appearance and speech about Faulk — all while wearing his jersey.
Brady delivered a solid speech and even joked about his age relative to Faulk’s. And maybe we should be listening to what Faulk has to say after all.
