It was a long night for Cam Ward. The Carolina Hurricanes goalie’s frustration boiled over with his team trailing 6-1 in the third period, and he punched defenseless Pittsburgh Penguins player Patric Hornqvist right on the face while Hornqvist was laying on the ice.

Ward was given a two-minute minor for roughing. That seems a bit lenient, and it will be interesting to see if the league adds further punishment in the form of a fine or suspension.
