The countdown to the Centennial Classic between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Detroit Red Wings is ticking away, and now we know how the jerseys each team will be wearing will look. They’re certainly centennial-worthy.
The Maple Leafs will be the home team, so they will be wearing their standard blue sweaters at home. Of course, these jerseys have the classic look with a modern slant. Check out the silver lining across the middle of the jersey separating the white stripe from the blue. This is a solid look and I would be happy to see the Maple Leafs keep this design moving forward. The ultra-retro-style logo is a thing of beauty. The Maple Leafs are celebrating their 100th anniversary in style with these uniforms.

The Detroit Red Wings will be dressed in centennial style as well. The Red Wings will also be wearing a traditional look with a silver lining. The Red Wings will also brag about their multiple Stanley Cup titles by having the years of their Stanley Cup championships etched in the silver striping around the sleeves of the jersey.
