First Lady Michelle Obama is a huge fan of the United States women’s gymnastics team, now more commonly known as the “Final Five”. And she knows that the Final Five didn’t get to where they are by eating junk food. So the First Lady and noted health food enthusiast asked the group to share their secrets to eating healthy and going for gold during a twitter Q&A with the group.

Veteran Olympian and Final Five member Aly Raisman had a very detailed answer:

Yup. All sounds good. And not at all in contradiction to what Raisman tweeted just over an hour earlier:

See, not awkward at all.

Raisman, perhaps afraid of a talking to from Mrs. Obama (to be fair, I would be too if she read some of the things I’ve written about and drooled over), acknowledged the situation head on.

I’d say an Olympic gold medalist is allowed to splurge. And I’m sure Michelle Obama will understand … that is until she gets her husband to put forth an executive order which would make Raisman perform community service at a farmers market or something. But hey, as far as controversies go, this one hardly belongs on the list. But at the very least thanks to Raisman, it’s a hilarious one.
