A Connecticut man went to great creepy and bizarre lengths in an attempt to impress Taylor Swift.

Bruce Rowley —  a 26-year-old resident of Derby, CT — told police that he robbed Webster Bank in Ansonia, CT, because he has a crush on the star musician and wanted to impress her.

After robbing the bank, Rowley even “drove to [Swift’s] house, threw some of the money that he stole from the bank over the fence and tried to contact the singer, but she wasn’t home.”

Via NBC Connecticut:

He went on to say he had a “crush” on Taylor Swift and wanted to impress her, so he robbed the bank, drove to her house, threw some of the money that he stole from the bank over the fence and tried to contact the singer, but she wasn’t home, the police report says.

We’re going to go ahead and assume this stunt didn’t impress Swift.

And Rowley is of course in some serious legal trouble to boot:

Rowley has been charged with robbery in the second degree and larceny in the fourth degree.
