Dos Equis’ Most Interesting Man in the World advertisements have been some of the most recognizable ads for a while now.

Jonathan Goldsmith, the actor in the famous ads, retired from his role as the Most Interesting Man in the World. But, the show must go on, so there is now a new face to the Most Interesting Man in the World, and his name is Augustin Legrand.

According to AdWeek, the new Most Interesting Man in the World won’t be reminiscing on old times like Goldsmith’s character was. He’s supposed to be more of a James Bond-type of character.

Dos Equis gave a statement on the new character, via AdWeek:

“The new Most Interesting Man is a man of our times, and in this first glimpse, he shares hints of being a resourceful, rough and tumble guy, who remains a jack-of-all-trades hero that one would expect from the man bearing this infamous title,” the brand says in a statement. “Viewers get a quick preview of his latest adventures and new friends including his love of sports, as he emerges from a well, ball in hand, to save a game of soccer.”

Legrand is more than 30 years younger than Goldsmith, so there’s undoubtedly going to be a visual change to get used to. It’s almost like a TV series, the longer it goes on the worse it gets, but it has yet to be seen how his character will be perceived.

Although he is visually different, he does have aspects of a younger looking Goldsmith, so hopefully that catches on with a lot of people.
