Dwayne Johnson is clearly one of the top stars in Hollywood today, and the hits just keep on coming for the former pro wrestling star. So many good things are happening in Johnson’s career, but he knows it’s important to always remember where you started out

With the latest installment in The Fast and the Furious franchise coming out, Johnson looked back on his first leading role in a film, 2007’s The Scorpion King.

Johnson’s movie debut came in The Mummy Returns the previous year, but the popularity of Johnson’s character convinced Universal Pictures to put him in a leading role for The Scorpion King. Johnson shares his personal experience from several scenes, although he pulls the viewer’s legs at least once (like explaining a scene with killer ants and how real they were, despite being clearly fake).

The Rock even pokes fun at his former self by noting his perfectly plucked eyebrows. He even gets amused by his old antics like dropping a little People’s Eyebrow in a scene.

Keep in mind at the time Johnson was taking on this role, he was still largely known for his professional wrestling persona as The Rock. We have seen enough wrestlers over the years try to dabble in Hollywood, so who knew Johnson was on his way to being a blockbuster sensation in his own right? Back then, he still relied on a couple of his wrestling tricks of the trade, as demonstrated by his People’s Eyebrow, and even dropped a signature move in an action sequence as well.

Now, Johnson is a star who doesn’t have to resort to his wrestling moves and can make a blockbuster action movie just by being in it. He really is this generation’s Arnold Schwarzenegger.

But before he was a star in the Fast and Furious movie, voicing a character in a hit Disney animated film or running his own TV series, he was a young grunt learning the ropes of filmmaking in The Mummy franchise.

So after his first pro wrestling appearance and starring movie role, what do we want to watch Johnson react to in his next video? Feel free to drop your hopes in the comment section below.
