If you ever hear someone talk about how strong they are, just remind them they’re no Hafthór Björnsson.
Björnsson, who plays The Mountain on Game of Thrones, showed off his incredible strength recently on an Italian TV show. He did so by battling the world’s strongest man, Zydrunas Savickas, in a competition to see who could throw a washing machine the farthest.
Both men were looking to break the world record for washing machine throwing (because that’s a thing, apparently), which is 16 feet (unofficially). Neither man was able to set the new record as they launched washing machines that weighed 46 kilograms (or 101 pounds).
Yep, gonna be hard for me to get my self-esteem up after that one. That’s unbelievable. I don’t know if I could throw the clothes I put in the laundry that far, much less an actual washing machine.
So, you might be able to lift some dumbbells or a bar on the bench, but you aren’t throwing around washing machines like these guys.
