Kohei Uchimura is one of the finest athletes Japan has to offer. He’s a four-time gold medalist at the Olympics, and he’ll be looking to add to his trophy case during the 2016 games in Rio.

He’s also a big fan of Pokemon Go, apparently.

Uchimura has played so much Pokemon Go since being in Rio, that’s he’s apparently tallied up a bill that cost him $5,000 in data overages. I really hope he caught all of the Pokemon considering that bill. Per the Kyodo News, he downloaded the game when he landed in Brazil, and then got hooked:

Uchimura said he downloaded the app when he touched down in Sao Paulo for pre-Olympic training camp and just like so many around the world, became instantly hooked — not knowing he didn’t have a flat rate for overseas data usage.

When Uchimura checked his bill, he couldn’t believe his eyes.

“500,000 yen…” sighed the defending six-time world champion.

Added teammate Kenzo Shirai, “He looked dead at the team meal that day.”

Luckily for Uchimura, the company let him off the hook, letting him get away with a daily flat rate of 3,000 yen, per Kyodo News.

While you might think to yourself, “I should totally try this, I could get away with something similar!” Surely it helped being a world-class athlete.

So don’t try this at home.
