There is much intrigue about a certain relic from years past. From a time where we weren’t able to easily choose between thousands of movies to stream on multiple devices.

Due to closures of Blockbuster stores in Alaska, the only Blockbuster store still open is in Bend, Oregon. These rogue Blockbuster’s could remain in operation in areas where there high speed internet isn’t as available and/or are so expensive that residents do not bother spending that much for service. But even that isn’t enough at this point to keep the stores open.

In addition to having the last Blockbuster, Oregon is also a state known for its craft beer. And 10 Barrel Brewing Company, a Bend brewery which is actually owned by Anheuser-Busch/InBev, has a special Blockbuster themed beer to commemorate the final store.

Called “The Last Blockbuster,” 10 Barrel’s beer is a S1nist0r black ale that they made before, just without the Blockbuster branding. The beer was chosen because according to 10 Barrel, the dark-cocoa flavored beer “pairs perfectly with buttery theater popcorn and your favorite movie-sized chocolate with a light body, smooth finish, and hints of nostalgia.”

If you are looking for this beer, you better be lucky and be within one of a few cities. In addition to the launch at the actual Blockbuster on September 21, the beer will only be available at locations in Bend, Portland, Boise, Denver and San Diego.
